Since the return from the February holidays, Nathalie (Une Note d'éveil) and Angélique (Les Graines de Lumières) have been introducing children to the joys of African music and philosophy during a weekly workshop. A look back at the first workshops... Forward the music After a welcome music at the Ukulele, Nathalie presents an instrument to the children. During the first workshop, it was the Balafon, an instrument from Mali. This instrument is a kind of xylophone. It is made of wood, it is hit with chopsticks, and the sound of the Balafon is amplified by gourds arranged underneath. After discovering these sounds, Nathalie invites children to try the instrument, as well as other percussion instruments. As we mentioned in a previous article on language learning in our school, our wish was to evolve towards bilingualism in English, or even trilingualism with the LSF. Our school is therefore implementing bilingualism in English for the atmosphere of 3-6 year olds for the start of the September 2020 school year.  English The recruitment of an English-speaking person began in early January. The person will have to communicate only in English for a total immersion. She will be present first of all every morning until the time of the nap. Children will thus benefit from daily contact with the language of Shakespeare.
