Playing in the mud? what a crazy idea!
On Monday afternoon, we had decided with the children to stretch our legs at the rugby field next to the school, to enjoy the warmth of the sun. We obviously did not take into account that the land was going to be waterlogged, and therefore that the mud would be at the rendezvous.
Have we turned back? well, no. What a wonderful sensory experience for children to throw themselves into the mud, to roll in it, to laugh out loud, to create bonds with some children who were until now rather excluded from the group.
We had a hard time convincing them to find their way back to school after 1h30 of muddy splashing.
So it's dirty, covered in mud but nevertheless happy that we went back to school to clean ourselves, change and enjoy the remaining time to enjoy this experience all together.
Not surprisingly, the school's sanitary facilities were smeared with earth. But the children, after getting clean, completely cleaned everything they had stained. It was only by seeing the condition of their shoes that one could guess what crazy adventure they had just lived. Or maybe even their blissful smiles and joy when their parents came to pick them up.

Playing in the mud? not so crazy in the end ! by following the link, you will find an article that talks about the benefits of letting children get dirty.
